52 Weeks of Creativity

I’m generally not one for New Years resolutions – I feel they kind of set you up for a fall, and when/if you break them you’ll spend the remainder of the year feeling a bit rubbish. I don’t see the point of putting yourself under the unnecessary extra pressure – generally life can be tricksy enough!

However, like all good rules this can – and has been bent and tweaked! For example the husband and I have realised that we are getting a bit sluggish, and a bit –  well portly. So we have resolved to walk each evening post work. Good opportunity for the two of us to have a bit of ‘us’ time and get us and our pooch moving. The caveat is, that we aim to do it a minimum of 3 times a week, so that we don’t get all angsty and guilt ridden if we miss a day for whatever reason.

We started last night and whilst on our dusky perambulate I started pondering MrsMac and what goals I wanted to set for my business this year. I’ll come to those in a later post, but one thing that struck me is that on ‘down’ times – the weeks without commissions and deadlines spurring me on and can get a bit stagnant creatively.

So following in the footsteps of many of the amazingly talented people I follow over on Instagram I have decided to set myself the challenge of creating something each week of the year. You can follow my progress on my Instagram and Facebook pages.

If you would like to get involved and propose I make something, then great, please pop your suggestion in the comments.
