Week Thirty Eight: 52 Weeks Of Creativity

When I made the card for my friends wedding (back in week 33) I realised that my own selection of cards for same sex marriages was ..well non existent.

So to rectify that and also acknowledge the fact that October marks National Coming Out Day I have made a pair of cards perfect for the new Mr & Mr or Mrs & Mrs.

Featuring a hand stamped message onto white cotton tape, which has been stitched onto golden coloured wool felt and finished with a tortoise shell heart. The card is a beautiful sparkly frosted gold – perfect for a special day.

FYI…I firmly believe in the #loveislove message, and hope in my lifetime that I get to live in a world where ‘coming out’ is no big flippin’ deal. So with that in mind please know that any mean and nasty comments on this blog post will be deleted without debate. MrsM.x

I’m still in the midst of wedding fever, so this weeks offering for my 52 weeks of creativity challenge is this “Happily ever after” wedding card.

Featuring MrsM’s signature hand-stamped style, mounted on rich purple wool felt and embellished with pretty tortoiseshell button hearts.

Week Twenty Seven: 52 Weeks Of Creativity

Love is in the air in 2016 judging by the amount of weddings we’ve been lucky to be invited to this year.

This week’s make was a gift for one of those weddings – the new Mr & Mrs Matthews.

An embroidered padded heart, featuring their married name and wedding date – so hopefully Paul will always be reminded when the anniversary draws near!

The wording is hand embroidered with white sashiko thread, onto pale cotton. The reverse is a floral print in complementary greys. All finished with silver ribbon and a vintage button.
